Diretor de um dos núcleos de produção da maior emissora de televisão do Brasil, a Rede Globo, Guel Arraes é um dos mais respeitados criadores de televisão do Brasil. Seus trabalhos já se tornaram uma referência de qualidade pelo modo original como opera, simultaneamente, com os diferentes suportes (mí­dias) e formatos (gêneros). Cinema, televisão, literatura, teatro: como trabalhar, continuamente, com o trânsito entre linguagens e meios sem subverter os modos de produção e organização próprios a cada um deles? Comentando a sua produção e trajetória é o próprio Guel Arraes quem nos estimula, nesta entrevista, a pensar sobre esta e tantas outras questões que emergem dos programas e filmes que dirigiu. Abstract The director of a variety productions from the major commercial television network in Brazil, Globo TV, Guel Arraes is one of the most prominente and respectable thinkers in contemporary Brazilian television. His works have become a benchmark of quality either because of the genres he has originated or equally because of the different formats, genres, and styles he has added to mainstream drama productions for tv. Cinema, television, literature, and theatre: how one can work continuously using language and format without de-constructing and interfering with the process of production? In this interview, speaking about his films and latest work, Guel Arraes has invited us to think and rethink about this and other issues that have been brought out from the creative shows and films he had directed.
