Resumo: This dissertation is composed of three studies that seek to investigate the career transition in adults. The first article, entitled - "Career Transition in Brazilian Adults: A Review of Scientific Production" - covers an national systematic review of the literature aiming to present a systematic review of the Brazilian scientific publication on career transition in adults. Ten articles were selected from three different indexed bases: Science Direct, SciELO and Periódigos CAPES. The results showed the importance of career planning and of understanding the labor market during the process of career transition in adults. They also indicated that the transition is a moment of reflection and widening of self-knowledge, which requires important decision-making. Finally, results highlight the lack of research in Brazil about this subject, especially about unplanned transitions. The second study, named “Difficulties and resources of undergraduate students in career transition processes to the job market” aimed to comprehend how the transition from the university to the job market develops, what are the difficulties involved and the strategies and resources used by individuals in transition. Nine interviews were conducted with undergraduate students from several courses, who talked about their expectations, difficulties, resources and perspectives about entering in the job market. The data, submitted to thematic analysis, allowed to identify the difficulties encountered by students who were preparing for graduation and for entering in the job market. Additionally, results show that identification with the areas of interest facilitates decision making, as well as career planning, of students in transition. The third article named "Difficulties and resources of professional adults in career transitions in the labor market", aimed to understand the obstacles during a career transition in the labor market. Also, aimed to understand similarities and differences among different types of career transitions of individuals who are already in the job market, identifying perceived difficulties, as well as strategies and resources activated. Similarly, to Study 2, the author conducted semi structured interviews with nine professionals who were transitioning. Data was submitted to thematic analysis and the results allowed to understand that professionals in transition tend to search for jobs in which they feel more satisfied; they also show that resources such as the 10 support from family and friend is important to cope with a career transition. Lastly, the fourth article, a quantitative method, investigated 268 professionals who were facing a transition or faced a career transition in the last 6 months, who answered an online survey with questions for profile characterization, and questionnaires about the Difficulty in career decision making, and a scale about career concern and career involvement. We performed a Spearman correlation test to evaluate the degree of relationship between the two scales. In addition, we compared the ages of the participants with both of the instruments. The main results show that there is more exploration by young adults than adults already active inside the job market. In addition, it has seems that as the individual ages, there is greater concern with his disengagement in the career. These are the results of the research, presenting the importance of the minicicles. During a career transition, it is essential that the individual recycles his or her career development for the best pursuit of the area of activity that is related to his / her personal interests, opportunities in the market and that offers personal and professional satisfaction.

Os resultados reforçam a importância de considerar os miniciclos ao avaliar o desenvolvimento de carreira dos indivíduosSubmitted by PPG Psicologia (psicologia-pg@pucrs.br) on 2018-01-03T18:16:23Z No. of bitstreams: 1 DISSERTACAO_dani.pdf: 1791392 bytes, checksum: 013fd5cce08858df34927e9f39ab8c01 (MD5)Rejected by Tatiana Lopes (tatiana.lopes@pucrs.br), reason: Devolvido a pedido da Secretaria do PPG em Psicologia. on 2018-01-04T15:11:34Z (GMT)Submitted by PPG Psicologia (psicologia-pg@pucrs.br) on 2018-01-04T15:22:26Z No. of bitstreams: 1 DANIELA_BACH_RIZZATTI_DIS.pdf: 1791392 bytes, checksum: 013fd5cce08858df34927e9f39ab8c01 (MD5)Rejected by Caroline Xavier (caroline.xavier@pucrs.br), reason: Devolvido devido à falta do "Anexo H" no arquivo PDF. on 2018-01-24T13:36:31Z (GMT)Submitted by PPG Psicologia (psicologia-pg@pucrs.br) on 2018-01-24T15:34:33Z No. of bitstreams: 1 DANIELA_BACH_RIZZATTI_DIS.pdf: 1836234 bytes, checksum: 30814a9994500f390ede483f91d108c6 (MD5)Approved for entry into archive by Caroline Xavier (caroline.xavier@pucrs.br) on 2018-01-31T10:53:49Z (GMT) No. of bitstreams: 1 DANIELA_BACH_RIZZATTI_DIS.pdf: 1836234 bytes, checksum: 30814a9994500f390ede483f91d108c6 (MD5)Made available in DSpace on 2018-01-31T10:57:55Z (GMT).
