Resumo: In 1886, the Arquivo Nacional of Brazil launches its first editorial initiative, Publicações do Arquivo Nacional. From 1912 to 1937, the books this series will present, on the cover page, an editorial brand, very similar to the ex libris used in the library of the institution. The brand and the ex-libris are almost equal, both of the painter Rodolfo Amoedo. The analysis of the symbols used can help to understand how Arquivo Nacional realized its social role and wanted to be seen by the Brazilian society.

De 1912 hasta 1937, los libros de esta serie presentarán, en la portada, una marca editorial, muy similar al ex libris utilizado en la biblioteca de la institución. La marca y el ex libris son muy semejantes, elaboradas por el pintor Rodolfo Amoedo. El análisis de los símbolos utilizados puede ayudar a entender cómo el Arquivo Nacional imaginaba su papel social y deseaba ser visto por la sociedad brasileña.Em 1886, o Arquivo Nacional lança sua primeira iniciativa editorial, a série Publicações do Arquivo Nacional. De 1912 a 1937, os livros dessa série irão apresentar, na folha de rosto, uma marca editorial, muito semelhante ao ex-libris usado na biblioteca da instituição. Tanto a marca como o ex-libris são bastante parecidos, ambos do pintor Rodolfo Amoedo.
