The importance of identity design(er) in the organizations

Resumo: The article presented here, is a reflection on the role that the designer and communication can currently play in organizations. The importance of the designer, while value creation agent applied to the strategy and communication of organizations, it is not always taken into account, it is often regarded as a professional that only solves aesthetic problems and responds to some demanding challenges, punctual and isolated. Given all this, we intend to address in this article and reinforce concepts that cover the areas of design, communication and management considerations being made about the importance and relationship between these, identity, strategy and organizations. In order to make sense of all this, this study will support base a practical intervention on a research unit, INET-MD - Institute of Ethnomusicology - Centre for Studies in Music and Dance, aiming to observe, collect and analyze the institution in order to meet conditions to design and manage the diversity of their identity. It seeks so the unit reaches, throughdrawing, a coherent identity with the visual discourse associated with it and be able to add value and contribute to its affirmation and recognition.

A importância do designer, enquanto agente de criação de valor aplicado à estratégia e comunicação das organizações, nem sempre é tida em conta, sendo muitas vezes considerado como um profissional que apenas resolve problemas estéticos e dá resposta a desafios pouco exigentes, pontuais e isolados. Atendendo a tudo isto, pretende-se neste artigo abordar e reforçar conceitos que abrangem as áreas do design, da comunicação e da gestão, sendo efetuadas considerações acerca da importância e relação entre estas, a identidade, a estratégia e as organizações. Por forma a dar sentido a tudo isso, o presente estudo terá como base de sustentação uma intervenção prática efetuada numa unidade de investigação, INET-MD – Instituto de Etnomusicologia - Centro de Estudos em Música e Dança, tendo como objetivo observar, recolher e analisar a instituição de forma a reunir condições para projetar e gerir a diversidade da sua identidade.
