Resumo: The article takes as its starting point the different modes of articulation between the public and private dimensions, especially as once conceived in the context of modernity and now revised in the context of the digital revolution. It is in this complex cultural context that theology finds itself in a somewhat difficult situation, which does not invalidate, rather requires that dialogue be its way of being. Among the topics of this dialogue, the concept of “public theology” stands out, articulated in the debate with several areas of knowledge, such as philosophy, ethics and politics itself. Thus, we get to the proposal of a Fundamental Public Theology, which finds in mediation its fundamental epistemological resource.
