Educar um filho ? um grande desafio de responsabilidade e exige grandes adapta??es e transforma??es na vida dos pais, sendo que os comportamentos parentais s?o influenciados por m?ltiplas causas, nomeadamente as vari?veis sociodemogr?ficas. Esta pesquisa visa determinar o n?vel de stress parental, conhecer o n?vel de satisfa??o parental e avaliar o n?vel de preocupa??es parentais em m?es de crian?as/adolescentes diagnosticados com PHDA (Perturba??o de Hiperatividade e D?fice de Aten??o). Para al?m destes objetivos pretende-se tamb?m determinar as caracter?sticas sociodemogr?ficas das m?es de filhos com PHDA, verificar a rela??o existente entre o n?vel de preocupa??es parentais e algumas caracter?sticas sociodemogr?ficas das m?es com filhos com PHDA e determinar a rela??o existente entre o n?vel de stress parental e o n?vel de satisfa??o parental em m?es de filhos com PHDA. A amostra ? constitu?da por 30 m?es de crian?as/adolescentes diagnosticados com Perturba??o de Hiperatividade e Deficit de Aten??o. Para a colheita de dados foi aplicado um question?rio sociodemogr?fico e as escalas de ?Satisfa??o Parental?, ?Stress Parental? e ?Preocupa??es Parentais?. Os resultados revelaram que estas m?es se sentem satisfeitas parentalmente e que vivenciam preocupa??es e stress parentais id?nticos ?s restantes m?es de crian?as com filhos de desenvolvimento t?pico. Verificou-se que n?o existem diferen?as estatisticamente diferentes significativas entre os n?veis de satisfa??o parental e algumas carater?sticas sociodemogr?ficas. No entanto, o estudo revelou que existe uma moderada correla??o estatisticamente significativa negativa entre os n?veis de stress parental e os n?veis de satisfa??o parental. / Educating a child is a big challenge of responsibility and requires major adaptations and transformations in the lifes of parents, while parental behaviors are influenced by multiple causes, including sociodemographic variables. This research aims to determine the level of parental stress, knowing the level of parental satisfaction and evaluate the levels of parental stress, in mothers of children / adolescents diagnosed with ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder). Beyond these objectives, we also intend to determine the sociodemographic characteristics of the mothers of children with ADHD, study the relationship between the level of parental stress and sociodemographic characteristics of mothers with children with ADHD and determine the relationship between the level of parental stress and the level of parental satisfaction in mothers of children with ADHD. The sample consists of 30 mothers of 30 children / adolescents diagnosed with Hyperactivity Disorder and Attention Deficit. For data collection, one demographic questionnaire was applied, as well as scales of ?Parental Satisfaction?, ?Parental Stress? and ?Parental Concern?. The results revealed that this mothers are feeling pleased, when concerning parenthood, and that they experiment identical concerns and stress to mothers of children with typical development. There were not verified statistically significant differences between the levels of parental satisfaction and some sociodemographic issues. Even so, this study revealed a statistically significant negative correlation between the levels of parental stress and the levels of parental satisfaction.
