Resumo: The present dissertation consists in finding a solution that can rehabilitate the object of study, Quinta da Alegria, currently in a high state of degradation, and also contribute to the dynamization of the city space in which it is inserted, through the reconversion of use, taking advantage of the potential of the place and the existing architectural heritage to ensure the preservation of memory. Therefore, the practical aspect is developed simultaneously with the theoretical one, being necessary to resort to the analysis and interpretation of the context in order to define the new program, a social club and a housing condominium, but also what is the best strategy to approach the set of buildings in ruin, resulting in a project exercise that focuses on the relationship between the existing and the new addition, privileging the form and the materiality
