The Potential of a Didactic Sequence Using Web 2.0 for Teaching History

Resumo: | Abstract The present article describes the partial results of a research analyzing the application of an interactive didactic sequence with the support of Web 2.0 resources for the teaching of History in a High School class integrated in Professional Education in a Brazilian public school. Using explanatory descriptive qualitative research of an interventionist character, an educational product was developed and applied and its contributions to students’ historical awareness were analyzed. In this study, the support of Web 2.0 in the process is specifically analyzed. Results point to the acceptance of these tools on the part of students, as well as the facilitation of learning, and the development of historical awareness stemming from content interaction and production. The tools used offer a varied array of informational directions and formats, and the students’ familiarity with resources allowed for a greater appropriation of content. |
