Resumo: | The pandemic situation we were all experiencing in the Abstract early months of 2020 has changed our relationship with the world around us. Suddenly and rapidly, the House gained a new importance of protection against an infectious disease. Through the architectural lens, a careful observation is made of the various changes felt within the domestic space. Thus, this dissertation is a study on the phenomenon and experience of habitation, during the pandemic caused by COVID- 19. The reading of "40 Dias / 40 Days" was essential to the construction of the investigation - in simple words, it allowed to revive the memories of a past time that, in turn, allows us to recognise the present time, and will allow for a greater awareness of the future time. In a first approach, the study evokes a journey with different chronological stops and different contexts, where relationships between Architecture and the concepts of isolation and quarantine are explored. Secondly, it seeks to understand how the architectural space has the capacity to promote the health of the inhabitant, for the development of a healthy body and mind. Finally, in a third moment, limiting the scope of its objective, the study goes through the dynamics of dwelling, in the period of time in which we remain isolated at Home. Using the graphic representation of personal experience and the conversations "Desde Casa", the analysis shows how ways of living are transformed from the capacity to adapt and appropriate new programs, the importance of an individual space and the perception of the limits surrounding them. Thus, the research seeks to raise questions related to the models of contemporary dwellings, from the (re)thinking critical and exploratory about the Dwelling. |
