Resumo: | For new generations, digital culture is mainly represented in the use of the Internet. Exploring the perception that children have in terms of their Internet skills presents challenges at methodological and conceptual levels. This article develops two approaches of the study of children uses of Internet: the new sociology of childhood and the use of visual methods when researching with children. It proposes to consider the relevance of these two elements in the process of approaching the diversity of experiences of children in their everyday interaction with Internet. |

Explorar la percepción que los niños tienen de sus competencias en el uso del Internet, supone retos a nivel metodológico y conceptual. El presente artículo desarrolla dos aspectos del estudio de los usos del Internet por parte de la población infantil: el enfoque la nueva sociología de la infancia y el uso de los métodos visuales. Se propone reflexionar sobre la relevancia de estos dos elementos en el proceso de acercarse a la heterogeneidad de experiencias de los niños en su interacción cotidiana con el Internet.Para as novas gerações, a cultura digital está representada principalmente nos usos da Internet. Explorar a percepção que as crianças têm de suas habilidades no uso da Internet apresenta desafios a nível metodológico e conceitual.
