O setting terap?utico ? um fator transversal aos diferentes modelos te?ricos, cuja fun??o primordial ? instituir o processo psicoterap?utico atrav?s do enquadramento esp?cio-temporal e relacional. A contratransfer?ncia ? outro importante instrumento da psicoterapia psicodin?mica, que d? conta das rea??es emocionais do terapeuta ao material verbal e n?o verbal trazido pelo paciente ? sess?o, sob a forma de sentimentos contratransferenciais. S?o objetivos deste estudo: proceder ? an?lise comparativa do estilo de manejo do setting em fun??o das carater?sticas do paciente e do modelo te?rico em que a terapia ? conduzida; realizar a an?lise comparativa dos sentimentos contratransferenciais dos terapeutas em rela??o a pacientes em psicoterapia individual, em fun??o do estilo de manejo do setting e das caracter?sticas pessoais dos pacientes em tratamento. A fim de concretizar estes objetivos foi conduzido um estudo emp?rico quantitativo de car?ter transversal junto de 47 psicoterapeutas inquiridos atrav?s de plataforma online. O protocolo de investiga??o incluiu os seguintes instrumentos psicom?tricos: Escala de manejo do setting terap?utico (EST, Farate, Couto, 2013); vers?es em l?ngua portuguesa da Feeling Checklist (FC, Holmqvist & Armelius, 1996) e Clinical Data Form (CDF, Westen et al., 1999). Os resultados evidenciam diferen?as entre os v?rios modelos te?ricos quanto ?s dimens?es do manejo do setting terap?utico mais frequentemente utilizadas. Tamb?m foram encontradas diferen?as significativas entre essas dimens?es do setting e outras vari?veis, tais como a faixa et?ria e as habilita??es liter?rias dos pacientes. ? importante ainda referir que o tipo de patologia do paciente n?o influencia a escolha de qualquer uma das dimens?es do psicoterapeuta, quer estas se refiram aos fatores estrat?gia relacional ou conduta terap?utica. / Psycho-therapeutic setting is a cross-sectional factor common to the different theoretical models, and its primary function it to give the psycho-therapeutic process a space-time and relational framework. Countertransference is another important instrument of psychodynamic psychotherapy, giving account of therapist?s emotional reactions to the verbal and non-verbal material produced by the patient during the session, in the form of countertransferential feelings. The purpose of the present research focus on two goals: the comparative analysis of psychotherapist?s management setting style in connection with the patient?s personal characteristics and the psychotherapeutic model used during psychotherapy; and the comparative analysis of psychotherapist?s countertransferential feelings in connection with his/her management setting style and the patient?s personal characteristics. We conducted an empirical quantitative and cross-sectional study, using a sample of 47 psychotherapists inquired through an online platform. We used the following instruments: Management Therapeutic Setting Scale (EST, Farate, Couto, 2013), the Portuguese versions of Feeling Checklist (FC, Holmqvist, Armelius, 1996) and the Clinical Data Form (CDF, Western et al, 1999). The results show evidence of differences between the different psychotherapeutic models in what regards management setting style. We also found significant differences in the relationship between setting dimensions and patient?s age and education grade. It is important to point out that patient?s psychopathology does not affect psychotherapists choices whether these relate to relational or conduct therapeutic strategy.
