Resumo: The research team would especially like to thank the priceless support from the Orquestra Geração management team, in particular António Wagner Diniz and Helena Lima, both in the preparation and access granted to all locations where the nucleuses and training camps take place as well as for all the procedures essential to carrying out this work. We would equally like to thank the Amarante Orquestra Geração management team, now the Orquestra Energia, as well as the different directors of the school groups chosen for the case studies, specifically Miguel Torga, Apelação, Vialonga and Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso and the guardians of the young musicians. We would also highlight the total availability demonstrated by the teachers involved in the Orquestra Geração project not only for the interviews they granted us but also for opening up the doors to their classes and rehearsals. Finally, this research would not be the same were it not for the contributions of many young Orquestra Geração musicians who we extensively interviewed and with the results ending up as one of the most innovative dimensions to this study.
