Curadoria digital e novas literacias: Um estudo de caso com o Pinterest no ensino artístico

Resumo: | Digital technologies are a constant presence in people's lives and have been influencing the relationship we have with objects, with others and with the way of being in the world. This study arises from the need to explore ways of using digital technologies, that can allow finding answers to the use of different technologies in teaching. Considering the specificity of arts education, where the use of the image is paramount and the increase of the students' visual culture is extremely important, Pinterest emerges as a social network whose visual information can be used to generate content, at the same time can allow greater interactivity and communication between teachers and students. For this study, the Pinterest social network was used as a work tool, with the objective of dynamizing the communication between teachers and students, at the same time it is intended to perceive the degree of involvement and participation of the students in the web. A direct observation of the behavior of the twenty-two students in the accomplishment of a proposal of work of Graphic Design, was made during a period of four weeks. To complement the observed data, questionnaires were given to the students, related to their involvement with the Pinterest social network, the contribution that it gave to the development of their work proposals and to what degree they participate in the network. Pinterest is a technology that has been exploited by several teachers of the school, promoting the use of this social network among students, we consider important to include the opinion of teachers for this study, regarding the use of this social network in arts teaching . In this sense we interviewed two teachers, one from Multimedia and another teacher of Fashion Design. The results suggest that students use Pinterest as a form of image search, especially for school work proposals, however they do not always keep and organize the information collected. We have obtained contrary results with some students, who use the social network, create, store, organize and share with other users the searches they do. |
