Resumo: This work project explores the impact of course evaluation structure on the students’ final grade, using the constructed Syllabi Database, together with the information dataset about Nova School of Business and Economics for the period between 2009/2010 and 2018/2019.Written evaluations, namely exams, constitute the highest-weight e devaluation components, underlying the traditional high importance of formal assessments in the Educaton System. A negative influence of exams’ weight and written evaluations’ weight on the final grade of the student was found. On the other hand, results indicate a positive impact of group projects’ weight. Finally, results are different for female and male students, with female students performing worse the higher the weight of formal evaluation components.
