PROSCENIUM: an open educational resource to share and promote choreographies of teaching

The concept and culture behind Open Education is to reach as many people as possible in a free and accessible way. Thus, it is necessary to promote this culture within institutions and in the political agendas of governments so that such actions reach the “front line” of education: teachers and students. Their practices are usually based on lesson plans, which, in turn, depending on their construction, may or may not be suitable for the context in which they are inserted. In this vein, the present paper consisted of producing an OER (in the form of an online digital software) whose objective is to provide a space for the collaborative creation and sharing of lesson plans in an innovative model: the Choreographies of Teaching - a powerful way to predict, understand and delineate the learning needed for each student in each context and domain. The model served as the basis for creating the Proscenium software, which was developed with the aim of contributing both to Open Education and to the dissemination of Choreographies of Teaching, still not very popular in several parts of the world. Already available for testing, Proscenium has demonstrated effectiveness in the design of pedagogical planning for teachers and evidenced opportunities for improvement that will help in its configuration as an open technology.
