O presente relatório de estágio, enquadrado no âmbito da Unidade Curricular Relatório, surge como resultado da etapa final da conclusão do Mestrado em Enfermagem na Área de especialização em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica na vertente da Pessoa em Situação Crítica. Inicia-se pela caracterização dos contextos clínicos onde decorreram os estágios, sendo de seguida descritas as etapas de implementação de um Projeto de Intervenção em Serviço numa Urgência Médico-Cirúrgica, seguindo a Metodologia de Projeto e tendo por base o Modelo de Qualidade-Cuidado de Joanne Duffy, com o objetivo de promover a qualidade e a segurança dos cuidados de enfermagem através da implementação do debriefing. Termina com uma reflexão sobre as atividades desenvolvidas ao longo dos contextos clínicos dos estágios, como também o contributo das restantes Unidades Curriculares, de forma a demonstrar a aquisição de competências de Mestre e Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica: A Pessoa em Situação Crítica; ABSTRACT: Debriefing as a strategy to promote the safety of critical patient - This internship report, framed within the scope of the curricular unit “relatório", arises as a result of the final stage of the Master’s degree in Nursing in the area of specialization in Medical-Surgical Nursing in the aspect of the Person in Critical Situation. It begins by characterizing the clinical contexts where the internships took place, followed by the description of the stages taken to implemente a Service Intervention Project in a Medical-Surgical Emergency Service, supported by the Project Methodology and based on Joanne Duffy’s Quality-Care Model, with the purpose to promote quality and security of nursing care through the implementation of the debriefing. It ends with a reflection on the activities developed throughout the clinical contexts of the internships, as well as the contribution of the other curricular units, in order to demonstrate the acquisition of master and specialist nurse skills in Medical-Surgical Nursing: The Person in Critical Situation.
