The Tunisian embroidery, little known in Europe, is one of the greatest riches of this country, not only because of the variety of its patterns and colors, probably originating from the experience brought by the weaves, but also by the economic opportunity that such an activity can bring to the country. The choice of the embroidery route was the decisive axis for exploring a path strewn with obstacles related to the a priori "needlework" and the status of woman-artist who "embroider". By "the magic power of needles", the research project is to establish a bridge that links "the art of wrinkles" of the pictorial tradition to the situation of art and contemporary practices regarding the relationship of the economy with the national and international dimensions. In order not to see the traditional Tunisian embroidery disappear, it would be necessary to combine all the efforts of the associations with the government (through the Office of Crafts) to save it from total decline by training new embroiderers and financing their productions through Tunisian and international patrons in order to perpetuate this Art more than thousand years old; Résumé: La broderie tunisienne, peu connue en Europe, est une des plus grandes richesses de ce pays, non seulement à cause de la variété de ses motifs et de ses couleurs, originaire sans doute de l'expérience apportée par les tissages, mais également par l'opportunité économique qu'une telle activité peut apporter au pays.
