Resumo: | This dissertation is part of the ESCOLAS: Complexidade e Interpretação research project . Contemporaneity has been characterized by emerging transformations that enhance changes in the teaching-learning processes, making it suitable to reflect on a current model of education, capable of continuing the ideal of democratization and universalization. Jorge Rio Cardoso suggests that "Based on technology, new teaching practices, changing curricula, new roles for the teacher" constitutes as a starting point of a better education for the entire school community, passing on the idea of the importance of learning and work that stimulates creativity and pleasure in discovery, training students who know are interested in knowledge. School buildings takes on the responsibility for territorial development and the capacity for permanent dialogue between pedagogy, the community and the different realities that each generation confronts us. In this sense, the public School is intended as an institutional space that harbor a significant number of children during several hours of the day and in which several academic activities are provided. As a public building, referenced in the urban mesh of the city and which establishes relationships with the surrounding community. And, as a public service that reflects on the political and socio-cultural issues arising at the current time. The present work intends to elaborate a study of school architecture based on a specific universe of pavilion schools designated as 3x3, and the rehabilitation process to which they were later subjected. This process motivated the interest in standardized architecture, expecting to recognize the qualities, disadvantages, or the conditions, as well, the suggestions of the transformations of this type of schools. |
