Resumo: Modernity continuity emerge from the need as well as the desire to compose space, place and occasion without the time factor impeding an evolutionary reading. The aim is to create a vision on the housing problem for the greater number by using past and present as a hinge, while seeking to understand how far the power of architecture can go. When we strive to make the architect and the common user aware of the importance of the harmony between man and its surroundings, where architecture and urbanism function as an agglutinating element of social space, and society is increasingly alien to the power it holds , it is urgent to wake up to the revitalization of our habitat. In the present, where the cities are constantly growing, and considering architecture as a mechanism of reciprocity between the city and the dweller, the construction of this narrative is ruled by a structure that sits on what we consider the main pillars - habitat, dwelling, identity. Through a continuous reading of the place of dwelling we sought to encourage an intellectual field, where the social role of the architect and experimentation are linked and, together, portray our daily life, satisfying the will to innovate and preserve. It is under this argument that we introduce a panorama regarding the housing problem revisiting projects that still reflect current issues on the design of social inclusion where the right to the city, dwelling and architecture is ensured.
