Resumo: | An Internship Report of a sports season is the tangible substance of a long period full of learning experiences. A period that represents, formally, the transition from "do to be" to "actually being". In order to stimulate this transition of states, we proposed ourselves to practice, reflect and inquire about the subject under study, that is, Observation, Analysis and Interpretation of the Football Game, which is an emergent activity in today's football and with enormous relevance in the preparation of a team. This report, in addition to the development of the practices and the modus operandi of an observer and analyst in a professional football context, in this case in Sporting Clube de Braga "B", is also intended to be a compendium of reflections on the internship process and on the professional activity in itself. Simultaneously, a scientific investigation was carried out, complementing the internship. Therefore, semi-structured interviews on the topic of Observation and Analysis and Recruitment were carried out on 14 (fourteen subjects) in professional football, namely Players, Head Coaches, Assistant Coaches/ Observers and Scouts. The main objectives were: 1) perceiving in a better way the football player, since this is the most evident "output" of the training, in the match; 2) compare the perspectives of different sports agents on the subject under study. To do this, we studied players of different positions (goalkeeper, defender, midfielder, attacker) and in different stages of their careers (initial, intermediate and post-career). In addition, we investigate sports agents in different sports contexts. In view of all the information collected, from daily reflections, literature and interviews, it was concluded that: i) the game model, the training process and game observation and analysis cannot be considered separately, since it is in their logical and coherent relationship that a model of competition for a technical team is built; ii) the working models should not be standardized but adapted to each context and coach; iii) game analysis through video is a form and type of training that aims to encourage, in athletes, declarative knowledge about the game; iv) the analysis of the team itself is considered as the most relevant type of analysis for players and coaches; v) the individual statistical report is a very effective instrument in stimulating the critical sense of athletes; vi) the observer/ analyst must have the ability to identify what happens but, equally, what does not happen but was supposed to happen; vii) the observer/ analyst should observe a game with "his own eyes" but analyze it according to "the eyes of the coach"; viii) the match analyst should be a preponderant element in a technical team in professional football. |
