The tremendous potential of this technology including anonymity, persistency, auditability, and traceability along with decentralization caused blockchain to receive attention globally. This study aims to identify the role of decentralization in blockchain success at firms by proposing a theoretical model based on the theory of success in information systems. The research model was empirically tested using 193 responses over an online survey questionnaire. The result reveals that service quality, system quality, and information quality were explained by decentralization. Likewise, decentralization and user’s satisfaction are an important criterion for the Net impact of blockchain success. Furthermore, this study explores the positive influence of decentralization as a moderator between the relationship of the user’s satisfaction and net impact. The findings have theoretical and practical implications for academics and managers.Oliveira, Tiago André Gonçalves Félix deRUNLashkari, Alireza2021-04-30T11:53:40Z2021-04-222021-04-22T00:00:00Zinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/masterThesisapplication/pdfhttp://hdl.handle.net/10362/116439TID:202714969enginfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos)instname:Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãoinstacron:RCAAP2024-03-11T04:58:57Zoai:run.unl.pt:10362/116439Portal AgregadorONGhttps://www.rcaap.pt/oai/openaireopendoar:71602024-03-20T03:43:04.521691Repositório Científico de Acesso Aberto de Portugal (Repositórios Cientìficos) - Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (UMIC) - FCT - Sociedade da Informaçãofalse
