Resumo: | This dissertation corresponds to a synthesis between an academic path and a pre-professional experience: the School and the practice. The dissertation research, more than simply showing a panoply of projects, wants to synthesize the project approaches. It intends to begin by demonstrating the office's working methodologies, and then use them as a method of comparison with my personal approach. Trying to understand how this influenced my speech or my way of thinking. These approaches, given the work developed in the office and the academic project exercise, focus on the theme of Building over the Built. The first moment of the dissertation will correspond to a theoretical and practical introduction of the office's design approaches. The choice of five key-words that synthesize the office's design exercise will be accompanied by demonstrations that illustrate them. The second moment builds on the introduction made in the previous chapter and bridges the gap between the theoretical-practical approach and the office's design practice. Here we refer to two projects in which I participated as a collaborator, having direct contact with the working method in the rehabilitation exercise. [The Practice] The third and last moment intends to synthesize what was my journey as a student, as an apprentice. This moment will correspond to a point of situation in the process of personal development. To satisfy this purpose, I propose a return to the project developed in the academic field for project IV in the year 2020/2021, the Rehabilitation and Expansion of Quinta das Lamas, in which, under a more mature look, I will try to demonstrate the approaches and personal methods used. The discourse is expected to be reinvented, resulting from personal development with the office's design approaches. The choice of this project exercise is due to the theme of rehabilitation and because the fourth year is the year in which the student has maximum freedom, maximum responsibility, where his development as a learner is greater, with stronger working methods.
