Construction process of a psychoeducational program in oncology according to complex interventions: a systematic review of the literature

Introduction: Cancer disease situation is a causative event of a high emotional charge. Both the person with cancer disease, as well as family members are subject to a great emotional stress. Many patients and their families find in the nurses, comfort, support and information about the evolution of their family. From the first systematic literature review we conducted on the contribution of support groups for adult person with oncologic disease and your family, we feel the need to identify existing psychoeducational interventions in support of the person / family with oncological diseases.                                                                                                        To know the scientific evidence on the psychoeducational intervention to adult person with oncologic disease and his family in order to build a psychoeducational intervention program. From the PI[C]O question were defined some concepts or keywords and conducted a scientific research articles in electronic databases. This research was carried out from October to December 2014. In this survey were selected, four articles that met the predefined criteria. Results: The results allow to know the effectiveness of psychoeducational intervention programs and their components. Developed interventions are mostly counseling, cognitive behavioral therapy, emotional support and education. The contents of the programs are part of the transmission of information about the disease, management of emotions, managing symptoms and family relations. These results will serve as a basis for the development a psychoeducational program in the doctoral thesis in nursing - Caring for Adult Persons with oncological diseases and their family: Evaluation of a psychoeducational program. Conclusion, The identified programs and its components appear to be relevant, since we find gains in health in people who took part in them.
