Kindergarten teacher's patterns of behaviour: Exploratory study for understanding the interaction in contexts of kindergarten classes

Resumo: The present work interferes in the extent of the dissertation of master’s degree in psychology, area of early intervention, and it intends to contribute for the understanding of the interactions that happen in contexts of kindergarten classes. Concretely we try to know a little more on the way as preschool teachers’ link with the children, and tried to define patterns of the preschool teachers’ behavior in his relationship with the children. It is made reference to the empiric study, accomplished near 12 preschool teachers and in which qualitative methods were privileged (observation and interview). It was fallen back upon methods of qualitative research with the program NUD*IST 4.0 – non-numerical unstructured date indexing searching theorizing, version 4.0 (copyright Qualitative Solutions & Research, 1991-1997). The obtained results suggests that there are regularities in the preschool teachers’ behavior and some patterns of behavior in relations to the interaction with the children can be privileged. DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.17575/rpsicol.v17i1.442O presente trabalho insere-se no âmbito da dissertação de mestrado em psicologia, e pretende contribuir para a compreensão das interacções que ocorrem em contextos de salas de jardim de infância. Neste sentido foi feito um estudo em que se procurou aprofundar a forma como as educadoras de infância se relacionam com as crianças, nomeadamente tentou-se definir padrões de comportamento das educadoras. A amostra é de conveniência, constituída por doze educadoras de infância que trabalham em jardins de infância privados sem fins lucrativos, em duas instituições do distrito de Aveiro. Foram privilegiados métodos qualitativos (observação e entrevista), tendo sido utilizado software informático específico para análise quantitativa (programa NUD*IST 4.0 – Non-numerical Unstructured Data Indexing Searching Theorizing, versão 4.0 – Copyright Qualitative Solutions & Research, 1991-1997). Os resultados obtidos sugerem que há regularidades no comportamento em relação à interacção com as crianças.
