Resumo: The current analysis examines the micromobility industry, to determine existing business models and derive an improvement for the most vulnerable one. The analysis is carried out using Afuah’s simplified business model canvas, in complement with primary and secondary research through interviews and industry analyses by consulting firms, databanks, and industry players. Starting as a free-to-use bike-sharing scheme, micromobility today has attracted more than $1.5bn in investments, and become an urban-mobility solution with the potential of replacing cars. Analyzing26 micromobility firms shows that there are three types of business models: Platform, Mobility as a Service, and Ecosystem Model.
