In that regard, after presenting the problematics which surrounds the main subject of investigation, the special attention will be given to the section dedicated to the guitar in the Grand traité d'instrumentation et d'orchestration modernes by Hector Berlioz (1844), the development of the guitar music after 1850, as well as the 20th Century and the contemporary music heritage of this instrument.
