Resumo: In the aftermath of the 2010 European debt crisis, the practice of indu[1]cements by investment firms in relation to the provision of investment services to their clients has been an exceedingly controversial subject. Despite being a common practice of day-to day conduct of business by financial institutions, the receiving of inducements payed by a third party has been widely regarded as a major factor from which conflicts of interest might arise between the investment firm and the client.
