Resumo: | The restorative benefits of affiliation with nature are undeniable. A considerable number of studies prove the direct effects of biophilic design in reducing stress, controlling fatigue, and increasing productivity and creativity when natural elements are present in the workplace. The regenerative power of nature knows no barriers and when adopted the biophilic strategy at the urban level, the positive developments, such as the control of heat islands, the reduction of pollution and the protection of ecosystems and biodiversity, increase urban resilience. However, while the implications of biophilic design are known to the scientific community, there is still little recognition and socialization of the matter. Our social construction quickly associates nature with recreational experiences and attaches insufficient importance to it. So, its contribution to building a more resilient society is not universally clear. One of the biggest obstacles that prevents the breaking of the paradigm and the transition to a more responsible society and with the knowledge of the environmental impacts and consequences of its actions is exactly the weak perception that we are part of the ecosystem and of the set of organisms that enter nature. Since civil construction is one of the sectors that most impacts the natural environment, it is through this that there is a greater potential to reformulate the social perception of nature. Therefore, community facilities have the potential to introduce to the masses the concepts of biophilia that lead to greater urbansocial resilience. |

A nossa construção social rapidamente associa a natureza a experiências recreativas e atribui insuficiente importância a mesma.
