Resumo: This article discloses the results eLit.pt Research Project - The Information Literacy in theEuropean Higher Education Area. Along two years the theoretical and methodological assumptions andconceptual in addition to the partial results of the two surveys distributed to a sample of more than threethousand students were published. One of the surveys was intended to the end of high school and theother for students of the second year of university and polytechnic. In this article, we move forward withsome more results and we disclose the model of the applied surveys. With these elements we hope tocontribute to the stimulation of an urgent debate and in-depth concerning the subject "informationliteracy" that should not, in our opinion, be confounded with digital inclusion or digital gap.
