Resumo: The main purposes of the execution of deprivation of liberty sentences are the social reintegration and the non-reiteration of the crime by the convicted. This report intends to depict the reality of the Court of Execution of Penalties, moreover through the study of its actions related to the granting or denial of parole. Therefore, it is outlined the procedure of the consideration to grant probation by the Court, highlighting the challenges and specificities faced by the magistrates, underlying the decision granting the two-thirds of the sentence mark.
