Resumo: The presence of women in entrepreneurship is constantly evolving, and with it the insertion of women in the entrepreneurial process. The present study analyzes the female involvement in the phases of the entrepreneurial process, and seeks to highlight the profile, intention and entrepreneurial attitude of women in Brazil and Portugal, with a look at the startups. As a methodology, the quantitative method was used, using a primary database through an online and secondary survey through the GEM, after analyzing the data and verifying the hypotheses raised, which made it possible to show that the entrepreneur in Brazil is in the age group between the 25 and 34 years old, is motivated by necessity and has greater representativeness than men in the initial businesses (TEA). Already in established businesses, men are more present, as women face barriers that impact so that their enterprises reach the stage of maturity. In Portugal, the entrepreneur is in the age group between 35 and 44 years, is motivated by the opportunity, however, women undertake less than men in both the initial and established businesses, however there has been an increase in gender parity in the entrepreneur who demonstrates that women are seeking their place in entrepreneurship. The study made it possible to show in both countries that the entrepreneurial profile, the intention allied to knowledge, level of education, skills and experience in the business environment, maximize the entrepreneurial attitude of women helping to overcome barriers and collaborating for greater entrepreneurial action, but they will find it easier to find their key partners, financial resources appropriate to the business model, and they will be more prepared, so they will be more open to riskier deals like startups.
