Integration between High School and University: “Reality in Chemistry practice”

In this paper, we describe the partial results of a proposal presented within the scope of the “Extension Action Territory Project”, for the 2016 school year, which tries to integrate the field of “Education for Inclusion”. The proposal’s team includes members from the General and Inorganic Chemistry Department, undergraduate students from the Biochemistry and Biological Science Faculty of the National University of Littoral (SFNUL), as well as students and teachers from secondary schools from the Santa Fé town, in the Argentinean republic. The aim is to build a shared space where proposals are collaboratively created to foster approaches from the Priority Learning Nuclei and from Natural Sciences, in particular Chemistry, through the development of working guidelines, accounting for the specific sociocultural environment and the infrastructure of the school. For this purpose, inter-institutional spaces were developed that potentiate the construction of actions for the development of teaching proposals in secondary education in Chemistry, consolidating the relationship between teaching, research and extension. While this work is still in progress, partial and expected results seek to revalue the knowledge of teachers and students; their perceptions, expectations and the role of institutions of secondary education, as well as to improve teaching and learning processes for university students of the SFNUL, considering their training as professionals with University Social Commitment (USC).
