Resumo: The purpose of this study was to determine which motivational factors have the greatest impact on employee motivation in Maputo's hospitality industry during the uncertain times caused by the global pandemic. The employee survey results show that the main motivation al factors, identified by previous research, have a very similar impact on workers' motivation. However, those related to knowledge acquisition, personal development, and a sense of job security have a greater impact than monetary rewards and additional benefits. The findings contribute to the field of human resources management by emphasizing the importance of managers communicating with their employees to meet their needs.
