Resumo: The term «colonial» uncovers ghosts related to readings related to memories, feelings of guilt and still uncomfortable hurts. The colonial narratives are above all a praise to the «mission» and to the colonizing action, as well as to the people of the metropolis and the colonial territory, in a perspective of a «natural» white superiority. This article aims to map cultural prejudices of the colonial past through the analysis of fictional narratives from Angola and Mozambique, dating from the twenties to the sixties, which allow a more detailed understanding of the thought and representation of the Portuguese colonial world of the twentieth century.
