Resumo: | This work is developed in order to articulate two specific topics of architecture, dry building solutions and the act of design for extremely hot climates of Africa. Hereupon, the present dissertation intents to accost and validate alternative building systems, with lightweight and fast assembly, avoiding the traditional construction, and, to evaluate the social and geographic environment and its consequent climate where these constructions will be inserted. The study aims to be an aid and function as a working tool for architects and builders that intend to do a project with similar contingencies. Some concepts of structural systems were approached from different perspectives and it was made a consequent comparison of gains in an attempt to find an effective way of integrating this system in the warm climate of sub-Saharan Africa, looking, this way, for solutions that promote and encourage a set of skills in integrating a young architect in his life. With this regard, was made an examination of systems and materials such as Light Steel Framing, Structural Insulated Panel, Sustainable Construction in Africa and Modular Architecture that happens for a better understanding of how the study and analysis of this construction system and this climate can contribute to the development of a project for an African housing, exposing the design process of housing modules, serving the purpose of questioning, relate and even incorporate the previously analyzed study. This research intends as inspiration and encouragement for the staging of possible approaches made by architects, taking care past experiences and references as a direct influence on architectural design method of a different architecture with specific characteristics for a particular climate. |
