Contribuições léxico-semânticas para o português angolano. Um estudo antroponímico na província de Benguela

O ato de nomear está intrinsecamente ligado à linguagem desde que o ser humano apareceu no planeta. O homem nomeia tudo o que vê, ouve, sente e manuseia. Em muitas culturas, o nome tem grande importância por revelar o carácter de uma pessoa. Assim acontece com os povos hebreu, egípcio, babilónio, chinês, grego, etc. Por esta razão, mudar de nome, para muitos povos e culturas, significa mudar de personalidade. Deste modo, o nome pode revelar as circunstâncias em que o indivíduo nasceu, vive ou viveu, ou ainda aspetos relevantes da sua personalidade. Não será por acaso que alguns nomes são facilmente aceites pela sociedade e outros rejeitados. A identidade pessoal constitui um bem para qualquer pessoa e, por esta razão, cada ser humano na face da terra tem direito a um nome, independentemente da condição social, da cultura, tribo, língua ou nação. Atendendo a existência de laços culturais e linguísticos bem conhecidos entre Portugal e Angola e a que, por esse motivo, os nomes dos angolanos são frequentemente mistos, abordaremos no presente trabalho, necessariamente nomes portugueses e nomes bantu. No entanto, o nosso enfoque será nos nomes de origem bantu (mormente os de origem umbundu, língua maioritária na região estudada), na medida em que são estes os menos estudados e os menos conhecidos. Nesta perspetiva, o trabalho está dividido em duas partes. Na parte I, abordamos, a título de introdução, alguns conceitos operatórios básicos. Na parte II, apresentamos o quadro etno e sociolinguístico de Angola, tecendo algumas considerações entre o português e as demais línguas, principalmente as de origem bantu, e apresentamos o estudo antroponímico que é o objetivo da presente investigação; Abstract: LEXICAL-SEMANTIC CONTRIBUTIONS FOR ANGOLAN PORTUGUESE. AN ANTROPHONIMIC STUDY IN BENGUELA PROVINCE. The act of name is intimately connected to language, since the human being appeared on earth. Man names everything he sees, hears, feels and handles. In many cultures, the name has great value by revealing someone's personality. So this happens with people like hebrew, egyptian, greek, chinese and babylonians, etc. For this reason, the change of names, for many people and cultures, means a change of personality. So a name can reveal circumstances in which the man was born, lives and lived, or even some real aspects of his personality. It is no wonder that some names are easily taken by society and other are not. The identity of a person comes to be a benefit for a person and for this reason each human being on earth has the right to have a name regardless of his social condition, culture, tribe, language and nation. Having these cultures and linguistics ties well known between Portugal and Angola, for this reason the angolan names are often mixed, we are going to approach in this present project necessarily the portuguese names and bantu names. However, our focus will be on bantu origin names (mainly those of origin umbundu, majority language in the studied region) because they are less studied and less known. In this perspective, the project is divided into two parts: In the first part, we are going to approach, as an introduction, some basics concepts. In the second part, we present the ethno and sociolinguistic framework of Angola, concerning some issues among portuguese and other languages mostly those from bantu origin and we also present an anthrophonimic study which is the purpose of this research.
