Resumo: | Software Engineering is a vast and broad field, and specific learning outcomes depend on the topic to be addressed. For the learning to be effective and to truly learn the different concepts, it is necessary to have practical training in principles, methods and procedures under condition similar to developing real software products. In this context, the aim of this dissertation is to demonstrate the efficiency of Serious Games for learning Software Engineering topics, by designing and developing a serious game for learning Software Project Estimation. This game type gathers the needed conditions to the learning of these topics, allowing the user to experience real life situations and have fun, all while gaining new knowledge. The initial phase will be to research learning techniques as well as Game Design Patterns to help in the design and concept of the game. After the planning phase, the game will be developed and it will validated by learning tests whose subjects will be Computer Science students with no prior knowledge of Software Engineering topics. |
