In the present research the privatization of public security in the shipments of the airports with regard to the magazines and personal searches of prevention from a Luso-Brazilian perspective is analyzed. The relevance of this research is related to the legal and jurisprudential fact of the performance of private security in conducting searches, and in some cases to retain personal items at the time of search, considered prohibited by Civil Aviation. It is intended to alert to the importance of clarifying these issues, since depending on the action of the private security this may violate the privacy and freedom of the person. Taking into account the increase in quantitative terms of private security, it is important to know the legal support by which the State allows the performance of private security and to what extent private security at airports operates. A survey was made of the laws of both countries, together with the bodies and other entities that work in the area of airport security and the importance of consolidating the scattered laws, regulations and decrees on the subject.
