Resumo: The school placement is a phase in which the intern learns to insert themselves in the real context of teaching, at school. It is part of the second year of the Master of Physical Education in Basic and Secondary Education of the Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto and enables the preservice to have the first contact with the reality of being a teacher, in which he acquires the necessary knowledge for the operationalization of the whole teaching-learning process. Batista et al. (2014) state that the school placement is a road that guides us from the initial moment of training to the profession. The purpose of this practicum report it's to mention all the lived experiences during the school placement, reflecting about all that happen. From the personal/institutional process to the planning process, to the evaluation moments, all the challenges, difficulties, and learning, which passed on in the various phases. The professional development, which includes a descriptive study that aimed to analyze the Heart Rate (resting, average and maximum Heart Rate) in teaching football. Characterizing it according to gender and levels of physical activity. The results of the study reveal that students with higher physical activity can have lower values of heart rate, male practitioners, with higher physical activity, have lower values of heart rate than female practitioners. Finally, in young people with lower physical activity, female practitioners can have lower resting/average heart rate values than male practitioners.
