Resumo: This document aims to report the experiences in the first person of a preservice teacher, who carried out the school placement in a real teaching context, in the subject of Physical Education. The school placement is part of the second year of the Master of Teaching Physical Education in the Basic and Secondary School System at the Faculty of Sports of the University of Porto, which aims: to provide the trainee student a direct contact with the teaching profession, in order to acquire knowledge to be integrated in an institution as a teacher in the future. The experiences that occurred in this academic stage will be reported throughout this report, in a reflective way. During this entire school year, there have been many challenges, difficulties, and achievements. From the challenges of organizing the various tournaments in a wide variety of sports, to the difficulty of drawing up a lesson plan, as well as exposing the exercises to the students. The greatest achievement I have had is the development of my leadership in front of a group. In the last part of the report there is the professional development, which includes a study that intends to evaluate the Heart Rate (resting, average and maximum Heart Rate), in students of the same/different sexes according to the type of sports discipline, team and individual sports. The goal was to understand if there are differences in intensity in the type of sports practiced. The results indicated that the Heart Rate presented higher values in team sports, in comparison with the individual sports. In addition to these results, we could see that the male elements managed to reach higher values.
