Resumo: The small business in Mexico made an important contribution to the economic and social development of the country. Nevertheless, they present constant difficulties to reach a global and durable performance due to its specific characteristics. The generation of an internal development constitutes an alternative to compete with enterprises of the same size and with big companies in an external environment increasingly competitively and unstably.This article presents an intervention-research in a medium company where the socioeconomic theory was applied and developed dynamical strategic capacities having a direct impact in the organizational and social performance of the company.

Sin embargo, presentan constantemente dificultades para alcanzar un desempeño global y durable debido a sus características específicas. La generación de un potencial interno constituye una alternativa para competir con empresas de su mismo tamaño y con empresas grandes en un ambiente externo cada vez más competitivo e inestable. Este artículo presenta una investigación-intervención en una mediana empresa mexicana donde se aplicó la teoría socioeconómica y se desarrollaron capacidades dinámicas estratégicas teniendo un impacto directo en el desempeño organizacional y social de la empresa. As pequenas e médias empresas (PME) do México contribuem de maneira expressiva para o desenvolvimento econômico e social do país. No entanto, apresentam constantemente dificuldades para atingir um desempenho global e durável devido a suas características específicas.
