Research on Educational Policy in Brazil: a literature review

Resumo: | Abstract: This issue presents a literature review on Educational Policy in Brazil in the period from 1994 to 2018. The analysis performed takes the Social Theory by Pierre Bourdieu as basis, which considers the knowledge production as part of the symbolic production in a specific field. From this literature review, it is indicated that Educational Policy is discussed, in Brazil, as research object, a subject that belongs to the Policy Science, theoretical study field, but predominantly as an academic field. The works analyzed show that: a) the research subjects of Educational academic field are focused on actions and omissions by the State; b) the authors point to there are challenges for the Educational Policy research; c) the main gaps are regard to the need for deepening the discussion on the study subjects of Educational Policy, greater deepening of analysis and explanations of theoretical-epistemological perspectives used. El análisis realizado toma como base la Teoría Social de Pierre Bourdieu, que considera la producción de conocimiento como parte de la producción simbólica de determinado campo. Desde esta revisión de literatura, se indica que la Política Educativa es discutida, en Brasil, como objeto de investigación, subdisciplina de la Ciencia Política, campo de estudios, teórico, pero predominantemente como campo académico. Los trabajos analizados muestran que: a) los objetos de investigación del campo académico de la Política Educacional están enfocados en las acciones u omisiones del Estado; b) los autores señalan que hay desafíos para la investigación en Política Educacional; c) las principales lagunas se refieren a la necesidad de profundizar la discusión sobre los objetos de estudio de la Política Educativa, mayor profundización de los análisis y explicitación de las perspectivas teórico-epistemológicas empleadas. Revisión de literatura.Resumo: Este artigo apresenta uma revisão de literatura de trabalhos que abordam a pesquisa em Política Educacional no Brasil, no período de 1994 até 2018. A análise realizada toma como base a Teoria Social de Pierre Bourdieu, que considera a produção do conhecimento como parte da produção simbólica de um determinado campo. A partir desta revisão de literatura, indica-se que a Política Educacional é discutida, no Brasil, como objeto de pesquisa, subdisciplina da Ciência Política, campo de estudos, teórico, mas predominantemente como campo acadêmico. Os trabalhos analisados mostram que: a) os objetos de pesquisa do campo acadêmico da Política Educacional estão focados nas ações ou omissões do Estado; b) os autores pontuam que há desafios para a pesquisa em Política Educacional; c) as principais lacunas referem-se à necessidade de aprofundar a discussão sobre os objetos de estudo da Política Educacional, maior aprofundamento das análises e explicitação das perspectivas teórico-epistemológicas empregadas.
