Map of epistemologies of educational policy in Parana's PPGEs, Brazil (2010-2012)

Resumo: | Abstract: This paper presents results of the mapping of the investigations in the academic field of Parana’s educational policy, carried out from the analysis of students’ productions in the Graduate Programs in Education (called Programas de Pós-Graduação em Educação - PPGEs) in the State of Parana (Brazil). The categorization of production in the period 2010-2012, focused on educational policy, was performed through the study of epistemological issues presented in theses and dissertations, to understand how the academic field of educational policy has been constituted in Parana. Social mapping was used as a methodology, which has its bases composed by epistemological pluralism, and uses textual analysis and construction of maps. In the analyzed sample, most works omitted the theoretical references in their summaries, and highlighted the methodology in their technical scope. The map built about the research epistemology in educational policy in the PPGEs of Parana indicates spaces occupied by different conceptions, with great emphasis on dialectical and historical materialism. On the one hand this points to the tradition of excellence of the Marxist method; but on the other hand it may indicate a production in which the political position overrides the research methodology. Postmodernism.Resumen: Este artículo presenta los resultados del mapeo de las investigaciones en el campo académico de la política educativa paranaense, realizado a partir del análisis de la producción de los estudiantes de los Programas de Pós-Graduação em Educação (PPGEs), en el estado de Paraná (Brasil). La categorización de la producción del período 2010-2012, en las líneas centradas en la política educativa, se realizó, mediante el estudio de las epistemologías de las tesis y disertaciones, para comprender cómo se ha constituido el campo académico de la política educativa en ese estado. Se utilizó como metodología la cartografía social, que tiene sus bases integradas por el pluralismo epistemológico, y emplea el análisis textual y la construcción de mapas. En la muestra analizada, la mayoría de los trabajos omitió las referencias teóricas en las explicitaciones de los resúmenes, evidenciando la metodología en su ámbito técnico. El mapa construido sobre las epistemologías de la investigación en política educativa en los PPGEs en Paraná indica los espacios ocupados por diferentes perspectivas, con gran énfasis en el materialismo histórico-dialéctico. Por un lado, eso apunta a una posible tradición del método marxista en esos PPGEs y, por otro, puede indicar una producción en la que el posicionamiento político se superpone a la metodología de la investigación. Posmodernismo.Resumo: Este artigo apresenta resultados do mapeamento das investigações no campo acadêmico da política educacional paranaense, realizado a partir da análise da produção discente nos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Educação (PPGEs), no estado do Paraná (Brasil). A categorização da produção do período 2010-2012, nas linhas voltadas à política educacional, foi executada, por meio do estudo das epistemologias presentes nas teses e nas dissertações, para compreender como o campo acadêmico da política educacional tem se constituído no referido estado. A cartografia social foi utilizada como metodologia, que tem suas bases compostas pelo pluralismo epistemológico, e faz uso da análise textual e da construção de mapas. Na mostra analisada, a maioria dos trabalhos omitiu as referências teóricas nas explicitações dos resumos, portanto, ficou evidente a metodologia em seu âmbito técnico. O mapa construído sobre as epistemologias da pesquisa em política educacional nos PPGEs no Paraná indica espaços ocupados por diferentes perspectivas, com grande destaque ao materialismo histórico-dialético. Por um lado, isso aponta uma possível tradição do método marxista nesses PPGEs; e, por outro, pode indicar uma produção em que o posicionamento político sobrepõe-se à metodologia da pesquisa.
