Analysis of the crime of riding: impact on the livestock sector in the Borbón Parish, period 2020

In this research work, the general objective was to analyze the criminal regulations, in relation to the crime of cattle rustling and its impact on the livestock sector of the Borbón parish in the period 2020. To carry out the aforementioned, the methodology was descriptive and field. The population was made up of ten owners of farms from the aforementioned parish. The data collection technique was direct observation, survey and documentary review, the instrument was the questionnaire with mixed questions. It was validated through expert judgment and Cronbach's Alpha coefficient. Descriptive statistics were used for data analysis Results: most of the owners dedicate their farm to agriculture and livestock (70%); Finally, 50% of the owners of farms extracted between one and two cattle, 80% of those interviewed consider that the penalties in the Ecuadorian Penal Code do not correspond or are not consistent between the crime and the typification, for those who steal, steal and traffic. Conclusions: This typical, unlawful and guilty behavior that threatens a protected legal right, being this; the right to property and it will be determined if the current criminal regulations in relation to this crime, effectively guarantee the protection of the property rights of livestock families.
