Teachers learning and collaboration with mathematics teachers in university extension project

Resumo: In this text, we present some results of a university extension project developed in 2013, with a group of teachers who teach mathematics in public state schools of the city of Rondonópolis, Mato Grosso state. In the project, there were developed some mathematics teaching methodologies such as Problem Solving and Mathematical Investigation, besides the goal of promoting a discussion about the mathematics practices of teaching and learning, in order to contribute to the research and the practice itself. The participating teachers proposed to study subjects based on their demands but developing an environment of creation, research and collaborative discussions. At the end, we analyzed the evaluation of the process carried out by the project participants, with the intention of understanding the importance and potential of this continuous training model in the professional development of these teachers and the contributions of the methodologies studied.

Nesse projeto, inicialmente, foram apresentadas as metodologias de ensino de matemática como a Resolução de Problemas e a Investigação Matemática, além da definição do objetivo de promover uma discussão sobre as práticas de ensinar e aprender matemática, de modo a contribuir com a pesquisa da própria prática. Com a constituição de um ambiente do tipo colaborativo, os professores participantes propuseram o estudo de temáticas a partir de suas demandas.
