Modelling (Mathematics) implicit in making a designer of artistics and its possible implications for education

This article aims to make a comparative analysis between the processes used by an artistic nail designer in her professional works, and the modeling (mathematics) procedures. The collaborator of this research was a professional from the south of Brazil who works with as nail decorations and the manufacture of handmade adhesives. The same granted interview through narratives. As a methodological procedure, mapping was used in educational research, organized in two moments: data apprehension through narratives of the collaborator of this research; and significance of this information - identification, understanding and careful analysis of the interviewee's narratives. As a result, it can be seen that the designer, although she is not aware of the modeling and possible use of it in her work, uses these procedures for the elaboration and production of nail stickers, as well as the decorations made directly on the nails of her customers.
