Potentialities of Mathematical Modeling for the Teaching of Mathematics in the Field Education

Resumo: This research was developed with the objective of identifying the potential of Mathematical Modeling for the teaching of Mathematics in Field Education. It presents a discussion about Field Education and Mathematical Modeling that ground the analysis undertaken. Developed based on of the qualitative method, the observation, the field journal of the researchers and documentary analysis were used as source of data production. The data were analyzed based on two categories: 1) indication about the identity of the subjects of the field; and 2) the mobilization of mathematical contents. The results show that the Mathematical Modeling in the socio-critical perspective can favor the (re-) knowledge of itself as a subject of the field, besides promoting a more meaningful mathematical teaching by problematizing the realities the subjects' of the field.

La misma presenta una discusión sobre Educación del Campo y Modelación Matemática que fundamentaron el análisis emprendido. Desarrollada con base en el método cualitativo, se utilizaron como fuente de producción de datos la observación, el diario de campo de los investigadores y análisis documental que se configuró en una actividad basada en el Modelación Matemática. Los datos fueron analizados en base a dos categorías: 1) identidad de los sujetos del campo; y 2) la movilización de contenidos matemáticos. Los resultados alcanzados apuntan que el Modelación Matemática en la perspectiva sociocrítica puede favorecer el (re)conocimiento de sí como sujeto del campo, además de promover una enseñanza de la Matemática más significativo por problematizar temas de la realidad de los sujetos del campo.Esta pesquisa foi desenvolvida com o objetivo de identificar as potencialidades da Modelagem Matemática para o ensino de Matemática na Educação do Campo. A mesma apresenta uma discussão sobre Educação do Campo e Modelagem Matemática que fundamentaram a análise empreendida. Desenvolvida com base no método qualitativo, foram utilizados como fonte de produção de dados a observação, diário de campo dos pesquisadores e análise documental. Os dados foram analisados com base em duas categorias: 1) indícios sobre a identidade dos sujeitos do campo; e 2) a mobilização de conteúdos matemáticos.
