Resumo: This article aims to discuss the processes of reading and writing in the steps that constitute the Methodology of Teaching-Learning-Assessment of Mathematics through Problem Solving. In order to do so, we initially discuss the concept of problem and Problem Solving as a methodology, as well as the reading, orality and writing in the teaching of Mathematics. In this context, the practices and research carried out by the Group of Studies and Research in Education and Mathematics Education are presented and discussed, especially regarding the reading and writing processes in Problem Solving, identifying the differences for a traditional teaching class. The results indicate that while initially difficult for students, reading and writing are important tools to promote understanding in mathematics.

The results indicate that while initially difficult for students, reading and writing are important tools to promote understanding in mathematics.Este artículo tiene como objetivo discutir los procesos de lectura y escritura en los pasos que involucran la Metodología de Enseñanza-Aprendizaje-Evaluación de las Matemáticas, a través de la resolución de problemas. Por lo tanto, está permitido discutir el problema de resolución de problemas y la resolución de problemas como metodología, así como leer, hablar y escribir en la enseñanza de las matemáticas. En este contexto, son utilizadas y discutidas las prácticas e investigaciones llevadas a cabo por el Grupo de Estudios e Investigación en Educación y Educación Matemática, especialmente con respecto a los procesos de lectura y escritura en la resolución de problemas, identificando las diferencias para una clase de enseñanza tradicional. Los resultados deben mostrarse al mismo tiempo que se presentan las dificultades a los estudiantes, una lectura y una escritura, que pueden ser herramientas importantes para promover la comprensión de las matemáticas.Este artigo tem como objetivo discutir os processos de leitura e escrita nos passos que constituem a Metodologia de Ensino-Aprendizagem-Avaliação de Matemática através da Resolução de Problemas. Para tanto, inicialmente discute-se a concepção de problema e da Resolução de Problemas enquanto metodologia, bem como a leitura, oralidade e escrita no ensino da Matemática. Nesse contexto são apresentadas e discutidas as práticas e pesquisas realizadas pelo Grupo de Estudos e Pesquisa em Educação e Educação Matemática, especialmente no que se refere aos processos de leitura e escrita em Resolução de Problemas, identificando as diferenças para uma aula tradicional de ensino.
