Initial teacher education: providing meaningful connections through internship projects

Resumo: One of the ways of providing an initial training in which theory and practice are integrated is to guarantee the performance of a supervised internship, in which there is a real partnership between the Higher Education Institution and the Basic Education School. Thus, recognizing the importance of the internship, it can be be questioned which other activities carried out by the undergraduate students during the course can enhance the reflections generated during its completion. In this exploratory study, carried out throughout 2018 with 77 students enrolled in the Internship Projects discipline of the Mathematics Degree course at the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the University of São Paulo, it was investigated that other activities developed previously in the course influenced this group in the accomplishment of the tasks proposed in the discipline. It was identified that the most significant activities are those that involve the pedagogical knowledge of the content, knowledge that has gained space in recent discussions on initial and continuing education.

Así, reconociendo la importancia de la pasantía, se puede cuestionar qué otras actividades realizadas por los estudiantes de pregrado durante el curso pueden potenciar las reflexiones generadas durante su realización. En este estudio exploratorio, realizado a lo largo de 2018 con 77 estudiantes matriculados en la disciplina de Proyectos de Pasantía de la Licenciatura en Matemáticas en el Instituto de Matemática y Estadística de la Universidad de São Paulo, se investigó que otras actividades desarrolladas previamente en el curso influyeron en este grupo en el Realización de las tareas propuestas en la disciplina. Se identificó que las actividades más significativas son aquellas que involucran el conocimiento pedagógico del contenido, conocimiento que ha ganado espacio en discusiones recientes sobre educación inicial y continua.Uma das formas de propiciar uma formação inicial em que teoria e prática estejam integradas é garantir a realização de um estágio supervisionado, em que exista uma real parceria entre a Instituição de Ensino Superior e a Escola de Educação Básica. Reconhecendo assim a importância do estágio, pode-se questionar quais outras atividades realizadas pelos licenciandos ao longo do curso podem potencializar as reflexões geradas durante sua realização. Neste estudo exploratório, realizado ao longo de 2018 com 77 alunos matriculados na disciplina Projetos de Estágio do curso de Licenciatura em Matemática do Instituto de Matemática e Estatística da Universidade de São Paulo, investigou-se que outras atividades desenvolvidas anteriormente no curso influenciaram este grupo na realização das tarefas propostas na disciplina.
