Biology teaching practices: ethnic-racial issues in the initial training of biology teachers in the Amazonian context

Resumo: This article reports a lived experience from the proposition of an activity of the discipline Practices of Teaching Biology II, whose objective was to develop among future Biology teachers studies and reflections that arouse interest and awareness of the importance of an interdisciplinary, practical, critical and reflective about sociocultural themes inherent to the practice of teachers who teach Biology, among them ethnic-racial diversity. The methodological option for approaching the theme was the elaboration of teaching projects. Among the 09 projects elaborated, the ethnic-racial theme was an option for 06 groups. The result of the production points to the relevance of the proposal given the contribution to the training process, as well as to teaching practices in Biology.

La opción metodológica para el abordaje del tema fue el desarrollo de proyectos didácticos. Entre los 09 proyectos elaborados, el tema étnico-racial fue una opción para 06 grupos. El resultado de la producción apunta para la pertinencia de la propuesta dada la contribución al proceso de formación, así como a las prácticas docentes en Biología.O presente artigo relata experiência vivida a partir da proposição de uma atividade da disciplina Práticas de Ensino de Biologia II, cujo objetivo era desenvolver entre os futuros professores de Biologia estudos e reflexões que despertassem o interesse e a consciência da importância da abordagem interdisciplinar, prática, crítica e reflexiva acerca de temas socioculturais inerentes a prática de professores que ensinam Biologia, dentre elas a diversidade étnico-racial. A opção metodológica para abordagem da temática foi a elaboração de projetos de ensino. Dentre os 09 projetos elaborados a temática étnico racial foi opção de 06 grupos.
